Learning the Word, Growing Our Faith
All Are Welcome!
At present on Sunday mornings we offer a class for adults and one for elementary age children.
We offer a very good nursery program for infants through three year olds, staffed by a well qualified, loving nursery attendant who works well with the children.
Young people participate in the early part of the worship service they are then welcome to either stay for the rest of the service or participate in an educational program designed for them. Young people in the third grade through junior high are eligible to attend summer church camp at Buffalo Gap Presbyterian Encampment outside of Abilene. Junior High through High School students may attend youth events at Mo-Ranch outside of Hunt, Texas. High School students can participate in our Synod Youth Workshop with students from Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Arkansas.
For adults, our Christian Perspectives class is a vibrant, joyful discussion- based group that puts a theological view on issues that are relevant to our daily lives. Using both written and video materials, the class tackles a wide range of topics, from Bible study to ethical and moral issues that present themselves in church and community settings. A broad spectrum of thoughts are encouraged, and each person’s opinions is valued. Mission work, prayer, and fellowship are a large part of the identity of the class. The class meets at 9 a.m. in the church Library.
