Witnessing to Christ through Social Engagement
All Are Welcome!
We seek to understand the pressing moral challenges and issues that negatively confront our neighbors in Wichita Falls, in our State and nation, and around the world, and to discern faithful action responses.
The issue can be as large as climate change and as local as the railroad crossing at 7th Street in downtown Wichita Falls. How we address it may be as localized as refraining from using individual plastic ware at church events or as public as joining in public actions in solidarity with our neighbors.
We are resourced by the work of the Advisory Committee on Social Justice Policy (ACSWP) of the Presbyterian Church (USA). Our work is informed by the Presbyterian Hunger Program, Presbyterian Mental Health Ministry, Presbyterian Peacemaking Program, and Presbyterian Self-Development of People. On national and international issues, we work with Presbyterian Partners at the United Nations and in Washington, D.C.
